How ordering custom furniture works: request, free 3D design and 360° panorama, measuring, contract, about two months of production, install.

Ordering furniture from MICASA takes a few steps: request, free 3D design with a 360° panorama, a quote sent as a link, a visit with samples and measuring, a fixed-price contract, production, delivery and installation. From approval of the design and signing of the final contract to finished furniture usually takes about two months, and the exact timeframe is stated in the contract. Below is each stage in detail, so you know in advance what happens and when.

Request and a free 3D design with a 360° panorama

It all starts with a request: you can take a short quiz-style estimate on the website or simply message us. We need to understand what you are planning — a kitchen, a wardrobe, a walk-in closet or furniture for several rooms — plus approximate dimensions and your preferences for style and materials. At this stage a tape measure and a few photos of the room are enough. We work in Tbilisi and with other cities across Georgia.

Based on your measurements, a designer prepares a 3D design and visualization. It is free and done before you sign a contract, remotely if needed. Besides images, you get a 360° panorama: you can "stand" in the middle of the room, look around and see how the furniture will look in real life. This is the easiest moment to try options: a different front colour, with or without an island, cabinets to the ceiling or standard height.

A quote sent as a link

The quote arrives as a link rather than a PDF file. It includes:

the project panorama;
a specification of exactly what is included;
alternative hardware options with the total recalculated.

This way you can see for yourself how the price changes with different hardware and make a decision without long back-and-forth emails.

A visit with samples and measuring

Once you are happy with the design and budget, we visit with material samples and take precise measurements. It is much easier to choose front colours and textures in person: Egger laminated chipboard, AGT Supramat MDF, painted MDF (including milled designs) or veneer. The visit with samples, measuring and design in Tbilisi costs 100 ₾, and this amount is deducted when you sign the contract. After measuring, the design is refined to the room's real dimensions.

Fixed-price contract and client account

The price of the approved design is fixed in the contract, so it does not change during production. If you want to change the specification, that is agreed separately. The contract also sets out the production timeframe, warranty terms and compensation for delays.

After signing, you get a personal client account where you can:

keep your contract;
see your payments;
follow the production stages;
submit a warranty request if needed.

Production, check measurement, delivery and installation

Production usually takes about two months after the design is approved and the final contract is signed. Carcasses are made of laminated chipboard, with Blum, FGV or GTV hardware depending on the project. Edges are banded on all sides with PUR glue for better moisture resistance, and drilling is done at the factory. As a result, the furniture is assembled on site from ready-made parts rather than adjusted on the spot.

Before manufacturing, a check measurement is carried out. This is especially important if renovation is still under way and the dimensions may change after finishing. When the furniture is ready, it is delivered and installed on a date agreed with you in advance.

How long to wait and the warranty

In short, most of the time goes into production — about two months. The time before that depends on how quickly you approve the design and sign the contract. That is why it pays to order furniture early, while renovation is under way: the design can be made from dimensions, and the furniture will be ready to install when finishing is done.

The furniture comes with a 3-year warranty, with the terms set out in the contract. If anything comes up, you can submit a warranty request right from your client account.
